| Bullet came to us by a family friend. Him and his wife are getting a divorce and neither of them could keep him because they are now living in apartments and there isn't enough room for him to run. We kept him around for 2 months so we could get a feel for him. He is just wonderful. He loves kids!! They had purchased Bullet for a family pet and has had no field training. When he came here, he got to meet a bird(quail) for the first time and he pointed it. He has the potential of becoming a wonderful hunting companion. We would have kept him to train him but we are already very busy with our dogs and pups. It wouldn't be fair to our own dogs to keep him. Bullet was kept indoors and he is house broken. He don't like to be crated. |

| We have purchased Benelli and her sister from a horrible home in Indiana. Benelli came to us with patches of missing hair and VERY thin. She has been with us for 4 months now and has turned around tremendously. She has been kenneled outdoors her whole life, so you would have to house train her if you were going to keep her indoors. She has been inside with us a few times and she only went to the bathroom once.....House breaking her wouldn't be hard at all as she already has a feel for it. Although Benelli hasn't come from one of our own breeding we still have the same love for her and we are looking to place her with a loving family. She has been introduced to birds and she does point them. She isn't gun shy. Since she has only been with us a short time, and since it was in our prime train season of our other dogs(as hunt test season is here right now), we didn't have time do much more with her. Although we have a lot more money invested in her, then what we are asking, we are willing to take the loss to make sure she is loves the rest of her life. Benelli is very friendly towards people, kids and other dogs. Since we don't own a cat or other animals, we don't know how she will respond to them.....I am sure she would never hurt them but she is a ball on energy and loves to play. She is also up to date on all her shots as we have taken her for them so we have vet records to go with her. |

| Missy's conformation isn't well enough for breeding. Don't get me wrong, she is a beautiful girl but she is a little dopic with her front left leg. Since she was already 4 months old when we got her, we believe she might have had her front left leg broken before we got her.....but we are not sure. She is very soft hearted. We have been afraid to try shooting over her as we are afraid she will be spooked. She loves the birds but we just don't know if she will ever overcome her insecurities of load noises. As you can see by the picture above, she sure points them birds nice but the flushing of the bird, makes her hide her tail and run. She live in the house with us and is 100% house broken. She is also 100% free of chewing anything apart. She is our ONLY dog that we let run the house while we are gone and she NEVER chews a thing. She is VERY loving! She gets along with our other dogs, loves the kids and loves human attention.....DOES NOT LIKE YELLING even if it isn't directed towards her. We are looking to place Missy in a home were she will live indoors at all times! I have to warn you......she does sleep in bed with us....she sure is spoiled!! |

| Dixie is looking for her forever home. She is 6 months old. We had a call from a guy stating he could not keep her and he wanted $500 to cover some of the cost he had put into her. He had her current on her shots. He only parted with her because his little boy was terrified of her so he found himself locking Dixie in her crate for 9 hours a day and then all night while they were sleeping. So, he did the right thing and gave us a call to help him and Dixie with this horrible situation. Dixie did not come from an SOS Breeding. She does have AKC papers...but no breeding rights. We have started her on Heartgard plus and Frontline plus as well. So, she is set to go. Dixie is almost house broken but might have an accident if she is laying and ignores that she needs to go out. After being crated so often, she feels that she don't want to stop playing for a potty break.....poor thing. But after the few weeks she has been here, we have already seen a lot of changes. We had driven to pick Heinz up from his owners place after finding out that they were unable to provide for him any longer do to having to take care of a sick parent. They did a GREAT job raising him up as he is such a lover. Does not have a mean bone in his body. He is not the average timid weim either....cery outgoing and very friendly. | This is Zoey! She is AKC registered. She is a sweet girl who has come a long way. Zoey was purchased from Georgia to be part of our breeding program. After a year of evaluating her, we thought we would try a litter with her. After delivering 9 pups, we thought she was a great mother as she did what she was supposed to as each one arrived. After the first few days, we realized, we made a mistake. She had laid on 5 of the pups, killing them. She felt she needed to be SO close to them, that she would lay on top of them. So, after this traumatic incident, we decided to have her spayed. Before we could have her spayed, we needed to get her a health exam and it was time to update her shots. At this time we did a heart worm test and she was positive(she obviously came with this as all our other dogs are negative). So, we treated her for her heart worms, got her shots updated and spayed her. She is ready to spend the rest of her life loved and care for as she is 100% healthy and back on track. | Dear Rachel, I want to say thanks for speaking with me last evening and offering to help me place Samantha in a better home. Let me tell you about Samantha. She is the youngest of my 3 "girls". She is 2yrs old + 1 month. Weighs approx. 48 lbs. She is up to date on all her vaccinations. She is fed twice a day and loves her Nutro Ultra chicken and rice. She loves "cookies" (doggie treats), and eats fresh fruit and veggies. She never begs during our meal time, she usually lays on her bed watching us with hopeful eyes while her sisters beg. She is Liver and White, Patched and Ticked. She gets brushed everyday and her coat is shiney and silky. She is fast, and agile with long legs, but very graceful. Her eyes have a "smart" look, taking everything in. You can almost see the gears turning in her head when she is focusing on something. She is a very smart dog (don't all moms think their "kids" are smart?) and needs to be stimulated, she needs a "job" or a "purpose". She would do well in a hunting home or an active one. She definately needs room to run, and needs to be stimulated. She gets along well with other dogs, but would really thrive if she were the only one. Our back and side yard is fenced in but she learned how to jump the 4 ft section, so we reconfigured the 6ft sections and it has cut her amount of room to run. I watched her this morning and she seemed miserable just pacing. I am frightened for her because there is not a doubt in my mind that these "neighbors" will harm her. It will be harder than hell to let Sammie-girl go to another home, but I have to be honest with myself and that is I think she would be happier and safer in the right home. Samantha is housebroken. She was pretty easy to train to go outside. As a puppy she did go to obedience classes and some basic agility classes. She is on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She is prone to demodectic mange, it flared up last spring, but was easily taken care of with promeris. The vet said it can flare up with stress. But if you keep on top of it it's not a problem. Of all the GSP's i've had (5) she is the prettiest and she's a love bug! She loves to be with her family, not seperated from them. We tried to crate her for an hour at a time, and she broke out of the crate. I was afraid she would get hurt, so we stopped. She loves to give "kisses" and "nibble" ears. She sleeps |
| with us every night. This is a MUST for her new home!!! She has a bad habit of jumping up on people when they come in the front door, I think this partly stems from competing for attention with her sisters. But I'm confident that she can be easily broken of that habit. We NEVER hit our girls. If they misbehave it is more our fault than theirs. She still likes to chew a little. The puppy years were hard! She has a peculiar habit of carrying around a fleece "security blanket". She "nurses" and "kneads" it. It seems when she gets excited or over stimulated this soothes her. Whatever works! I give her a clean one everyday. this may seem cute (and to me it is) but she still hasn't learned her blankets are hers and my blankets are MINE! She thinks all blankets are fair game, so at times she needs to be redirected. Sam listens well to her "father" but walks all over me. she responds better to a mans voice than a woman's. Please know that I would do anything for Samantha. If we could find her a loving home where she will be safe, happy, and healthy, my prayers will be answered. I will miss her each and every day and never stop loving her, caring about her, and wondering about her. I don't want any monetay compensation for her (she is registered AKC and has been spayed) . Giving her a better life is enough for me, and the reassurance of a great home with a loving family. The only thing I ask is for updates, and to get her back if her new home doesn't work out. |

Since then, we have been crating her for 3 hours a day and she is adjusting to it very well. She is the most loving GSP we have ever seen. She wants to be with you no matter what you are doing. Once she is outside, she can turn it on. We had her shots updated and had her spayed. She is looking for her forever home. Very loving and needs attention! MUST be kept indoors.
