In Need of A Loving Home

We, S.O.S. KENNELS, have such a love for GSP's that we have received dogs at a low cost just to place them in loving homes.  We sell the dogs for what we paid for them, not because their is anything wrong with them, just to make sure they get placed in a loving home.          From time to time, we might have received a puppy/dog back from a litter that was born here or from someone who hasn't gotten the dog from us.  Sometimes peoples situations change and they can no longer care for the dog the way the dog needs to be cared for so they are forced to give it up. They love their dogs enough to want the best for them.

This is Chase.  We saved him from a home where he was being mistreated.  Although Chase hasn't come from any of our own breedings, he has been with us for 4 months, recovering.  In those 4 months he has come a long way and is now looking for a PERMANENT home.  From the start he will be shy with you until you gain his trust....when the trust is there, you will see that he is an amazing boy with alot of potential!  If you don't have unconditional love for dogs or if you don't have patience, then Chase isn't for you.  Please don't inquire about him if all you are looking for is a hunting machine.....Chase IS NOT THAT.  He is house broken, very laid back and needs lots of love.  Outside he has energey but stays right by your side.  He is a handsome young boy looking for a wonderful life.  We had him to the vet for a full checkup, which checked out fine and we got him current on all his shots.  Chase would be best with someone who is retired as we don't want him to be crated too much.  Call us and we will see if you and Chase are a good match for each other.

Pedigree

We have purchased Benelli and her sister from a horrible home in Indiana.  Benelli came to us with patches of missing hair and VERY thin.  She has been with us for 4 months now and has turned around tremendously.  She has been kenneled outdoors her whole life, so you would have to house train her if you were going to keep her indoors.  She has been inside with us a few times and she only went to the bathroom once.....House breaking her wouldn't be hard at all as she already has a feel for it.  Although Benelli hasn't come from one of our own breedings we still have the same love for her and we are looking to place her with a loving family.  She has been introduced to birds and she does point them.  She isn't gun shy.  Since she has only been with us a short time, and since it was in our prime train season of our other dogs(as hunt test season is here right now), we didn't have time do much more with her.  Although we have alot more money invested in her, then what we are asking, we are willing to take the loss to make sure she is loves the rest of her life.  Benelli is very friendly towards people, kids and other dogs.  Since we don't own a cat or other animals, we don't know how she will respond to them.....I am sure she would never hurt them but she is a ball on energy and loves to play.  She is also up to date on all her shots as we have taken her for them so we have vet records to go with her.

Pedigree

Missy's conformation isn't well enough for breeding.  Don't get me wrong, she is a beautiful girl but she is a little dopic with her front left leg.  Since she was already 4 months old when we got her, we believe she might have had her front left leg broken before we got her.....but we are not sure.  She is very soft hearted.  We have been afraid to try shooting over her as we are afraid she will be spooked.  She loves the birds but we just don't know if she will ever overcome her insecurities of load noises.  As you can see by the pictire above, she sure points them birds nice but the flushing of the bird, makes her hide her tail and run.      She live in the house with us and is 100% house broken.  She is also 100% free of chewing anything apart.  She is our ONLY dog that we let run the house while we are gone and she NEVER chews a thing.  She is VERY loving!  She gets along with our other dogs, loves the kids and loves human attention.....DOES NOT LIKE YELLING even if it isn't directed towards her.  We are looking to place Missy in a home were she will live indoors at all times!  I have to warn you......she does sleep in bed with us....she sure is spoiled!!

Bullet

Bullet came to us by a family friend.  Him and his wife are getting a divorce and neither of them could keep him because they are now living in apartments and there isn't enouph room for him to run.  We kept him around for 2 months so we could get a feel for him.  He is just wonderful.  He loves kids!!  They had purchased Bullet for a family pet and has had no field training.  When he came here, he got to meet a bird(quail) for the first time and he pointed it.  He has the potential of becoming a wonderful hunting companion.  We would have kept him to train him but we are already very busy with our dogs and pups.  It wouldn't be fair to our own dogs to keep him.  Bullet was kept indoors and he is house broken.  He don't like to be crated.
